Meeting Notes May 2013

The Triad Saltwater Anglers met on May 13, 2013.

There was some discussion regarding the proposal to install a windmill farm offshore in te Wilmington area.  It was determined this may bring fish attracting structure to the area but may bring noise and some off limits areas as well.  Time will tell.

The lead pour was scheduled at Dieters house for the next Saturday.

The fundraiser drawing will be held at the June meeting.  All tickets should be turned in by that time.

MAD-8 will be held in Morehead City on June 1st.  The club voted to donate $1000 to the cause.

Bob Miller presented a program on Drum fishing in the tidal waters around the Morehead City area.

The next meeting will be held on June 10th,

May 2010 Meeting Notes

At our last meeting we had 12 members  and 1 guest present.

Treasury report   $2,197.72

Old Business

Anyone with a fundraiser idea please present to the club at the upcoming meeting. We need to raise about $2,000.00 dollars for our treasury.

We had around 15 folks turn out for the lead pour and everyone seemed to get the type and amount poured they wanted. Food and fellowship was very nice.

I will have a list of people that signed up their boats for fishing buddies at the next meeting.

We would like for everyone to try turn in your catches either by official weight or by picture and measurements so that we can have more winners on fish caught this year. Also it is nice to hear about your good luck and skills at our meetings.

The club now has a site on face book if you use it and please join in and let us know what you are doing.

We still need a secretary for the club and I would really appreciate someone stepping up and helping us out.

New Business

The club voted to donate $1,000.00 dollars to the upcoming MAD event.

Everyone that missed last meeting missed one of the best presentations we have had with Jody Gay and Rick Crosson. I hope to have them back at some time within a few months and I think everyone would really enjoy their talk.

Idea for a fundraiser is to have a yard sale with everyone contributing something or things to help raise some money for the club. Would like your thoughts at the next meeting on this possibility
