Club Meeting March 13, 2017 Meeting

20170214151252(Fishing School Registration Form)

The Triad Saltwater Anglers will meet on March 13th at Golden Corral at Hanes Mall. Dinner will begin at 6:00 and the meeting will start at 7:00.
Our speaker will be Todd Shamel from the North Carolina Coastal Conservation Association (CCANC). Todd is the assistant director for the western region of North Carolina. He is a Winston Salem native. For those not familiar with CCA, they are a very large organization who represent the 17 coastal states from the northeastern US, down to the gulf coast of Texas. They are by far our biggest advocate as recreational fishermen.
Todd will be speaking specifically about what is going on with the North Carolina Department of Marine Fisheries, and the accomplishments CCANC has been able to achieve over the years in working with them.
This will be a most informative meeting regarding the progress of recreational fishing and the direction we are headed for the future in North Carolina.
In addition we will have a second speaker, Will Cathey, who will talk about the upcoming season of striped bass fishing on the Roanoke River.
Don’t miss this one!
Just a reminder, TSA Fishing School is coming up on March 18th. Our lineup of speakers has gotten even greater with additional freshwater sessions being added. We still have a few slots open if you have friends who may be interested. Sign up soon, we are limited to 100 spaces!  Link to registration form is above.
